Nico Melian ("I", "me", "my") operates the YardHunt mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

Information I Collect

Location Data The App collects your device's location to show garage sales near you and to calculate distances. Your location is used only within the App and is not shared with third parties. If you enable sale alerts, your location is stored securely in Firebase Firestore to send you notifications when new sales appear within your selected radius.

Device Identifiers When you enable sale alerts, the App stores a Firebase Cloud Messaging token associated with your device. This token is used solely to deliver push notifications to your device. It is not linked to your personal identity.

Subscription Information If you subscribe to YardHunt Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I do not collect or store your payment information. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers to track your subscription. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Usage Data The App does not collect analytics, browsing history, or personal usage data.

Information I Do Not Collect

I do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or any other personally identifiable information. The App does not require an account or login.

How I Use Your Information

Your location is used to display nearby garage sales and calculate distances. Your device token is used to send push notifications about new sales near you if you enable alerts. Subscription status is used to determine whether you have access to Pro features.

Data Storage and Security

Location and alert preferences are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted in the United States. Data is transmitted using encrypted connections. I take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.

Third Party Services

The App uses the following third party services:

Firebase (Google) for data storage, cloud functions, and push notifications. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store for processing in-app purchases.

Data Retention

Alert preferences are stored as long as you have alerts enabled. You can delete your alert data at any time from within the App by tapping "Delete Alert" in the Alerts tab.
