This Privacy Policy describes how Random Thoughts Journal ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Journal Entries Your thoughts and journal entries are stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. We do not have access to, collect, or transmit the content of your journal entries to any external servers.

1.2 Voice Recordings When you use the voice transcription feature, audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. Voice data is not stored, transmitted, or accessible to us. The transcribed text is saved locally on your device only.

1.3 Subscription Information If you subscribe to our premium features, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier to verify your subscription status but does not have access to your personal payment information or journal content.

1.4 Device Information We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or any device-specific information.

1. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• Journal entries and transcribed voice notes remain on your device and are used solely to provide the App's journaling functionality.
• Subscription data is used only to verify your access to premium features.
• We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the App's core functionality.

1. DATA SHARING AND THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• RevenueCat: Receives anonymous subscription status data only. Their privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
• Apple: Handles all payment processing for in-app purchases. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

1. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

• All journal data is stored locally on your device.
• Data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).
• We do not have access to your data and cannot recover it if you delete the App or lose your device.
• We recommend enabling device backups through iCloud or iTunes to prevent data loss.
