This Privacy Policy describes how Measure Height App ("we", "us", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Photos you provide When you take a photo or pick one from your photo library to measure an object, the image is temporarily uploaded to our servers and forwarded to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) for analysis. We do not store the original photos on our servers after the analysis is complete.
Measurement history Measurement results (such as object name, estimated dimensions, and a small thumbnail of the analyzed photo) are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.
Device and language information We collect basic device information such as your device language, country/region, and operating system version. This information is used to localize content and to send appropriate prompts to the AI provider so that results are returned in your language and unit preferences.
Subscription information If you purchase a subscription, your purchase is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate your subscription status. We may receive an anonymous user identifier and information about your active entitlements. We do not receive your full payment information.
Anonymous usage analytics We may store anonymous, aggregated information about how the App is used (for example, the number of measurements performed, the language used, and the unit system selected). This information cannot be used to identify you personally.
We use the information described above to:
Provide the core measurement feature of the App by sending photos to our AI provider and returning results to you. Display your past measurements in the local history view. Localize the App and AI responses in your preferred language. Validate and manage subscription access. Improve the quality and reliability of the App.
The App relies on the following third-party services:
OpenAI: Photos and prompts are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. OpenAI processes the image to estimate the dimensions of the main object and returns a text response. Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Cloud Functions and Firebase services provided by Google to host the backend that forwards your photos to OpenAI. Firebase may collect technical information such as IP address and request metadata for security and abuse prevention. RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and validate purchases. RevenueCat may store an anonymous user identifier and subscription metadata. Please refer to RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy for more information.
Apple App Store: All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Your payment information is handled directly by Apple and is not shared with us.
The App requests access to your camera and photo library so that you can take or select photos to measure. We only access the specific photos you choose to analyze. We do not scan, browse, or upload any other photos from your library.
