This Privacy Policy describes how GeoGrab ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

Information We Collect

Location Data

When you grant permission, we access your device's location to display your position on the map. This data is used in real-time and is not stored on external servers. When you tap on the map or search for locations, we process those coordinates locally on your device.

User-Generated Data

When you save a coordinate, we store the location name, address, latitude, longitude, and timestamp locally on your device. Your unit system preference (US or Metric) and app settings are also stored locally on your device.

Subscription Information

When you subscribe to GeoGrab Pro, transaction information is processed through Apple's App Store and our subscription management partner, RevenueCat.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number), photos or camera data, contacts or address book, health or fitness data, browsing history, or device identifiers for advertising purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to display your current location on the map, provide coordinate and address lookup services, calculate area measurements, save your favorite locations locally, process and manage your subscription status, and improve app functionality.

Data Storage

Local Storage

All user-generated content, including saved coordinates and preferences, is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. This data remains on your device only, is not synced to any cloud service, is not accessible by us or any third party, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.

Subscription Data

Subscription and purchase information is managed by RevenueCat and Apple. This data is necessary to verify your subscription status and provide access to premium features.
