This Privacy Policy explains how Fishing Lure Identifier (the "App"), operated by Nico Melian ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

OVERVIEW

Fishing Lure Identifier lets you take or select a photo of a fishing lure and receive an AI-generated identification along with an estimated value and related marketplace listings. We designed the App to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not require you to create an account.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Photos you submit. When you scan a lure, the image you capture or select is sent to our secure cloud service for processing. The image is analyzed to identify the lure and does not need to identify you. We do not use your photos to build advertising profiles, and we do not knowingly collect images of people.

Saved items. Lures you choose to save are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Removing the App or clearing your data deletes it.

Purchase information. If you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscriptions. We receive subscription status and anonymous purchase identifiers, but we never receive your full payment card details.

Device and usage data. We and our service providers may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and anonymous identifiers used to measure app performance and marketing attribution (including Apple Search Ads attribution). This information is not used to personally identify you.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

• Identify lures and generate value estimates and listings.
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
• Process and restore subscriptions.
• Measure performance and understand how the App is used.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

To provide core features, we share limited data with trusted providers who process it on our behalf:

Google (Gemini): Photos you submit are processed by Google's AI services to generate the identification. Images are sent only for the purpose of analysis.

eBay: We query eBay to show recent marketplace listings and prices related to the identified lure. We do not share your personal information with eBay.
