This Privacy Policy describes how Baseball Card Scanner Value ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
By using Baseball Card Scanner Value, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Camera Access The App requires access to your device's camera to scan and photograph baseball cards. Photos taken within the App are used solely for card identification and are stored locally on your device. We do not access your photo library unless you explicitly choose to do so.
Card Images and Analysis When you scan a card, the image is sent to our cloud-based analysis service to identify the card details (player name, year, brand, team, condition). This image is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
Locally Stored Data All card collection data (card details, images, estimated values, notes) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to our servers and remains entirely under your control. Deleting the App will permanently remove all locally stored data.
Purchase Information If you subscribe to Baseball Card Scanner Value Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect an anonymous app user ID and purchase history to verify your subscription. We do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core functionality of the App.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
AI Analysis Service Card images are sent to our cloud processing service hosted on Google Cloud Platform for card identification. Images are processed in real time and are not retained after the analysis is complete.
eBay Browse API The App queries the eBay Browse API to retrieve publicly available listing data for baseball cards. Only card-related search terms (player name, year, brand) are sent to eBay. No personal user data is shared with eBay.
RevenueCat We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers and purchase data to verify subscription status. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/
